Steven Anthony Aki
Steven Anthony AkiSteven Anthony Aki, 80, was born November 1, 1939 to Joseph and Jane Aki in Honolulu. He passed away peacefully at home with his wife and children at his side on February 24, 2020. Steve, who loved God, ohana, friends and life, was the fifth of 10 children. He attended St. Patrick School and St. Louis College in Kaimuki. He then enlisted in the US Air Force where he served in Texas. Steve joined HPD, Continental Airlines, Discovery Airways, and later returned to civil service where he finally retired. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Arlette and children, Nalei (Cheryl), Kahaunani (Edgar) Gum, Kainalu (Tracee), and 7 grand- children and one great-grandson. He is also survived by sisters, Catherine Magsanide, Margaret (Wayne) Rofinot, Tessie (Luigi) Figueroa, Mary (John) Pittman and brothers, Gerard Aki, Steven and Joe Kalilikane and many nieces and nephews. Steven Aki's celebration of life will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at St Stephen Catholic Church, 2747 Pali Hwy, Honolulu, HI. Visitation will be from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. Mass begins at 11:00 am with lunch to follow. Arrangements Provided By: Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel
