He was born in Honolulu and is survived by wife Edith (Ginoza); daughter, Dawn (Bert) Matsuoka; son, Mark; sisters, Janet Inagaki, Christine Reagin and Trudy Viela; five grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren. Richard was predeceased by son, Earl and daughter-in-law, Jeri Ann (Kosaka). He retired as a manager with Waikiki Transport. Private funeral services were held at Diamond Head Memorial Park.
