FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

KENNETH WILLIAM DIAS, SR.
KENNETH WILLIAM DIAS, SR. KENNETH WILLIAM DIAS, SR. Kenneth William Dias, Sr., born in Honolulu in May, 1930 passed away in Honolulu in March, 2020. A true gentleman. A family man. A USMC career officer, combat veteran Vietnam War and Korean War. A Roosevelt HS athlete with a tight group of classmates. A planter, a builder, a man to see it through to the finish. An extraordinarily loving caregiver to his beautiful wife Caroline. A coach. A golfer - oh just name any sport! A surfer, even in DaNang during the War, even in Waikiki in the 1940's with a heavy wood surfboard. Never boastful. Very handsome. The boy with a double newspaper bike route on Wilhelmina Rise who would win track sprinting records. A descendant of grandparents from Madeira Island who sailed to Hawaii in the 1880's. So very brave. Peace loving. We all feel he never let us down. Survived by children Dayna Beamer (Kapono), Kenneth Dias, Jr. (Lea), Carlotta Amerino (Marc); grandchildren Kawai Dias (Tiare), Dustin Dias, Sasha Dias, and Alexis Amerino; 4 beloved great-grandchildren; siblings Herbert and Miriam, many nieces and nephews. We will honor Kenneth in a private celebration of his life.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
