FORTUNATO “PHILIP” GENOBIA
FORTUNATO

89, passed away on April 20, 2020 at Maui Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 19, 1930 in Puunene, Maui. He married Natividad "Naty" Cagasan and moved to Honolulu, where they raised five children. Philip spent countless hours playing his autoharp for family, friends and as a musician in Waikiki. Shortly after retiring from Hawaiian Linen Supply, Philip and Naty returned to Maui. He was an avid fisherman, diver, and opihi picker. He enjoyed being a part of the Men's Senior Baseball League, first as a player, then a coach for the team. He'll always be remembered as the "life of the party," his passion for cooking, and his strong yet charming personality. He is survived by his loving wife Natividad of 67 years of marriage, daughters; Delphine Martinez (Heliodoro, deceased), Donna Kuewa (Kalani), Dorene Genobia (Tallet), and sons; Philip Genobia (deceased), Lawrence Genobia (Tammy); 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grand- children, and 3 great-great-grand- children. Forever in our hearts he will remain.
Services will be held at a later date.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
