On Sunday, April 26, 2020, Jose Rizal Castillo, better known as "Rizal," passed away at the age of 88. Rizal was born on December 30, 1931 in Hilo, Hawaii. He graduated from Hilo High School and retired from St. Francis Hospital as a maintenance worker. Rizal enjoyed fishing and was passionate about crafting his own fishing equipment. He looked forward to his annual fishing trip to Kalaupapa with his friends. He had a knack in the kitchen and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Rizal was known for his sense of humor and his handlebar mustache. He is preceded in death by his parents, Diego and Calixta Castillo and his siblings: Santiago Castillo, Vicente Castillo, Toribio Castillo, Maria Carulla, Eleanora Villegas, Francesca Tobalado, Floranio Castillo, Maxima Domingo, and Albert Castillo.
