Koon Fai "George" Young, born January 29, 1958, passed away peacefully at home on May 9, 2020 with his wife and children beside him. He had three children with his wife Norinne (predeceased) Michelle, Micah and Marissa. His grandchildren from Marissa and husband Tony Mitani include Mason and Tyler Mitani, and from Micah and Dayne Shinjo, Mikayla and Blayze Young. He is also survived by his wife Susan Young, who he met in November of 2010, and had been together in love and laughter ever since. George had a zest for life. He graduated from KCC with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He worked as both waiter and manager at various restaurants, the last one being The Ocean House Restaurant. In 1991, Honolulu Magazine voted him Best Waiter. His personality made him an outstanding waiter; he had visitors from all over who would call the restaurant and request to sit at one of his tables. George's other passion was tennis, was a no holds barred player with a crushing serve. When he wasn't working (before COVID) could find him at Diamond Head Tennis Court playing hard, laughing with "the boys". A Hui Hou Kakou. I will see you again in Heaven my love.
