On Wednesday, May 13, 2020, Bertha Shinagawa (74 years) peacefully passed away at home. After graduating from UH Manoa, Bertha lived on the island of Kauai for 40 years. Bertha is survived by her husband, Joseph; sons, Jeffrey (Tiffany) and Bradley (Jodie); grandchildren, Nathan, Jaycelyn, Colton, Taylor, Brandi, and Joseph, and sister, Judy (Ronald). Bertha was a quiet, kindhearted, and modest woman. As a lifetime educator with the DOE, Bertha helped shape young minds across the state. She loved her family, she loved the Lord, and she loved her church (Anchor Church Kaneohe). A celebration of life will be held on a later date. Arrangements Provided By:
