Age 55, of Honolulu, San Francisco and Seattle passed away on March 12, 2020 while vacationing in Bangkok, Thailand. George was born in Honolulu on November 12, 1964 to Lowell and Rose (Tan) Yee. He graduated from Iolani School in 1982 and from Seattle University in 1986. After graduating from Seattle University, George worked for various financial institutions in Honolulu, including Finance Factors and Hawaii USA Federal Credit Union. George moved back to Seattle to live in 2008 and worked as an independent consultant in financial and leadership training. In 2016 George moved to San Francisco to be closer to his brother Lowell, nieces and their families. George especially loved to spoil his nieces and grand nieces and grand nephews.George is survived by his older brothers, Lowell (Sam) and Michael, nieces Melanie Yee (Alvin Yim) and Michelle Yao (Bob Yao) and five grand nieces and nephews (Emily, Addison, and Everett Yao and Ella and Ethan Yim).
Per his prior request, a private service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in his memory to Saint Peter's Episcopal Church (1317 Queen Emma Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813).
