FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

KEENE TETSU HANADA
Keene was born in Wailuku, Maui to Yukuo and Yoshie Hanada. He was an Eagle Scout, graduated from Baldwin High and received his bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering and a Master of Science from the University of Colorado. He was a Captain in the Army Ready Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1990 when he became a manager at the precast yard.

Keene grew up working at his family's Wailuku service station; after college, he worked at Hawaiian Dredging's precast yard for 20+ years and Shigemura Lau Sakanashi Higuchi for 20 years where he obtained his professional structural engineer license in 2012. Keene was a man of the highest moral character. He was patient, honorable, loyal, trustworthy, kind, loving and private. Keene passed away suddenly at the age of 66 from complications due to cancer.

Keene is loved and survived by his wife Jo Anne; brothers Howard (Sheri) and Jon (Mary Ann); nephews Scott, Chris (Todd), Mike (Alyssa), Tom (Virginia); grand-nephews Collin and Milo; and grand-niece Sydney. He will be missed, until we meet again.

Private services will be held on Oahu and Maui.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
