Patricia Tomie Doi
The family of Patricia Tomie Doi sadly announce her passing on April 26, 2020. Patricia was born on April 28, 1928 in Kalopa on the Big Island of Hawaii to Kame and Uta Uyehara and was the 6th of 8 children of a close-knit, loving family. Patricia graduated from Honoka'a High School and attended Beauty College in Honolulu. After graduation, she became a co-owner of Pat Glamor Beauty Salon in the Moana Hotel in Waikiki along with 2 of her dearest friends. After a successful career as a business owner, they sold the salon to the Aiko Yamano Salon of Beauty from Japan and Patricia remained at the salon for numerous years to oversee the day to day operations. After a short retirement, Patricia realized an undiscovered passion...... karaoke. With the unwavering support of her wonderful sensei, she traveled all over the world, performing in front of large audiences. Although she had no prior musical interest, her family and friends were overjoyed that she discovered a second calling which she genuinely enjoyed. Patricia was a woman of incredible hope and had an optimistic approach towards life. She is now reunited with her husband Herbert, and is survived by her daughter, Kellie Pearce, and grandsons, Logan and Noah. She holds a huge place in our hearts and will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched. Private service to be held at an upcoming date.
