Butch passed peacefully at his home in Waimea on March 13, 2020. He was 78 years old. He joins his beloved wife of 18 years, Glory Akana. He is survived by his 'ohana, --stepchildren: Samuel Plunkett, Ursula (Alvin) Chong, Momi (Peter) Fernandez & mo'opuna. He also leaves behind siblings: Larry (Wilma) Akana, Audrey (Albert) Caravallo, Edward Akana, Gracie Edene Grace, Arthur (Josie) Akana, William Akana (Bruce Thordal) & Eleanor Akana; three generations of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph & Isabelle Akana, Jackie Akana, Joseph HK Akana & hanai 'ohana Frances Ching & Ray Aarona.
Please join us as we gather for a Celebration of his Life at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Honolulu at 9:00 a.m.
on Saturday, July 18, 2020. Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m.
Private Burial to take place on the Island of Hawaii.
