97, passed away peacefully in Lafayette, California on Friday, June 12, 2020. She was born November 19, 1922 in Puunene, Maui, daughter of Taisuke Nakamura, and Yoshiko Shimada Nakamura, sister to Paul (Millie) and Henry (Jeanette). She was married to Judge Toshimi Sodetani, who pre-deceased her in 2009. She taught elementary school on Lanai, Maui, in Cincinnati, and then in Honolulu (Manoa and Aliamanu) for many years, and was much loved by her numerous students and fellow teachers. In her later years she lived in Rossmoor, California, where she reconnected with some old friends from Hawaii, and made many new ones. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Crane (Mike), beloved grandsons Justin Ossola (Nicole), Gabriel Crane (Lakshmi), and David Crane, as well as three beautiful great- grandchildren, Nolan and Waverly Ossola and Satori Crane.
