Dorothy Jane "DJ" Calistro Carvalho, of Honolulu, died on June 5, 2020 at the age of 90. She was born in Hanamaulu, Kauai then her family moved to Kapahulu, Oahu where she grew up. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, Tutu, GG, aunt, caregiver, churchgoer, and friend. She had a kind, thoughtful and generous spirit and was always helping anyone in need.
DJ is survived by her 3 sons: Ernest Jr., of Big Island; Kenneth Sr. and Adrian, of Honolulu; and daughter-in-law Sandra, of Big Island. She also is survived by 4 grandsons: Jason (Helen), of Los Angeles; Logan (Aina), of Big Island; Kenneth Jr. and Chase, of Ohio; and 5 great- grandchildren; Wahine, Ku'ihi, and Kaneula, of Big Island; Cayden and Harper, of Los Angeles and many cousins, nieces and nephews, of Kailua.
