FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

MICHAEL ICHIRO MITSUKAWA

Michael I. Mitsukawa, 56, formerly of Boston, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 29, 2020 after a long and valiant battle with cancer. A 1981 graduate of Saint Louis School, Michael attended Boston College where he received his MA in Theology. After graduating, he started his professional career with the institution, eventually becoming the Associate Director of Administrative and Technology Resources for the BC Law Library. He was an integral and proud professional staff member of the Law Library for over 35 years.

Michael lived his life with great faith, integrity, and love for his family. He is pre-deceased by his father, Ichiro Mitsukawa, survived by his mother, Margaret "Peggy" Mitsukawa; sisters, Margie (Mel Jr) Mung Lim, Maureen (Ray) Fleming, and Marie Mitsukawa; brother, Mark Mitsukawa; 5 nieces; 1 nephew; 2 grand-neices; and 1 grand-nephew.

A loving son, brother, and uncle… Michael will truly be missed.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Institute for Human Services (IHS) or St. Jude Children's Hospital in Michael's name.
