Robert L. "Stu" Stewart, 90, of Wahiawa, Hawai'I, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2020 at Tripler Army Medical Center with daughter Denise by his side, listening to one of his favorite songs. Stu was born on July 20, 1929 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After serving 21 years in the United States Army, he was a special education teacher at Waianae Intermediate and High School for nearly 40 years. Stu is survived by his five children, son, Dwayne C. (Sherry Iida), daughters, Jerusha A. (Robert Stanley), Yvette R., and Denise R. (Matthew Sala), and Sheila M. Stewart-Gibbons; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous extended family members on the mainland, and his dog, Tyson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Maria, who passed away on December 9, 2007.
