Doreen was born December 15, 1943 in Watford, England to Mark and Risify Wilson. She met and married an American Airman from Hawaii, Howard Lung, who was stationed in England at the time. In 1962, while stationed in Fort Worth, Texas, they had their first daughter. In 1963, they relocated back to Hawaii and had their second daughter a year later. Doreen was an amazing mother who dedicated her life to raising her children. She was active helping in her daughters' classrooms at Waimanalo School and was a loving daughter/sister-in-law and aunty. After her girls were grown, she worked at the Longs Drugs Store, Pali location for many years before relocating to California to be with her family in 2001.
Doreen is survived by her adoring daughters, Deborah (Craig) Placek and Jacqueline (Frances) Fitzpatrick and grandchildren, Emma and Nicholas Placek who loved her dearly. She is also survived by sister Daphne and many nieces and nephews in the United States and England. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Howard, her parents, her sisters Eva, Barbara, Janet, Maureen and brothers Jim, Mark, Charlie, Gerald, Johnny, Derek, and Peter.
A private family service was held on July 26, 2020.
