FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Arnold Ken Goto
Arnold Ken GotoPresident & CEO of the Hawaii Baptist Foundation, went to be with the Lord on August 3 due to cardiovascular complications. He was 65.

Born in Honolulu to Hisae Goto and the late Kenneth Goto, Arnold practiced civil engineering before embarking on a successful 30-year career in technology and management consulting. He worked for Hewlett-Packard, Oracle, and KPMG, where he was a Partner, before founding an executive search business.

A gifted salesman, leader, and connector of people, Arnold later used his talents to serve the church following a call to ministry: first as Elder Chair and Executive Pastor of Hawaii Kai Church, and since 2015 leading the Hawaii Baptist Foundation, where he stewarded the endowments and estates of Hawaii's Southern Baptist community. He was also a skilled marksman, world traveler, and licensed private pilot.

More than for his many accomplishments, Arnold will be best remembered as a man of kindness, integrity, and humor; a faithful servant of Christ; a generous and thoughtful friend; a beloved son, brother, nephew and uncle; and the world's best husband and dad, the roles he cherished most.

Arnold will be deeply missed by his wife of 38 years, Cynthia, and their two sons: Jonathan (Marisa) of San Francisco, CA, and Joshua (Brianna) of Bremerton, WA; his mother, Hisae "Emily;" sister, Wendy; mother-in-law, Janet; and many aunties, nieces, nephews, in-laws, colleagues, clients, neighbors, and countless friends.

Services will be held at a later date.
