Hiroko Yoshie Kamei Olsen, 91, of Wahiawa passed away on August 1, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 23, 1929 in Tokyo, Japan. Hiroko was a worldly & accomplished woman. She was an alumnus of the prestigious Aoyama Gakuen, a TV Host on KIKU TV, a journalist for the Hawaii Hochi & East-West Journal & she wrote a bestselling book in Japanese called the West Point Story. Hiroko was a Master Instructor of Ikebana, enjoyed French culinary cuisine, doll making & traveling. Hiroko is preceded in death by her husband John Charles Olsen, brother Takeo Kamei & 1st grandson Toby Olsen. Hiroko is survived by her sister Michiko Ueno, 3 sons, Colonel John Olsen MD & Angela Olsen DDS, Colonel James Olsen MD & Lis Olsen, Robert & Stephanie C. Olsen & daughter, Sharla & Larry Beil. Survived by 6 grandchildren, Llia, Tanya, Kiana Ariel, Nikki-Hiroko, John Robert, Ekaterina-Hiroko & 3 great-grandchildren, Tian, Tavi & Takeo K. Kamei. Hiroko will be lovingly laid to rest alongside her beloved husband John Charles Olsen at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Arrangements Provided By:
