He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Gwendolyn Ibrao Nolasco, his loving daughter Shanna Nolasco-Barnes (Jimmy), son Brandan Ibrao Nolasco (Katie), loving grandchildren James E. Barnes lV (Alanna), Shelby Barnes, Kyana Rowland, Keanu Rowland-Nolasco, Kolby Rowland-Nolasco, Kaeden Nolasco, Kaine Nolasco, Kealaula Hett, and Moani Briley. He attended Helemano Elementary, and graduated from Leilehua High School in 1973. He worked for United Parcel Service (UPS) from 1976 to 2010.
He was always so proud to say that he was one of the first drivers to start with UPS when the company started on the island. Sammy's second family was the UPS "guys" whom he worked with, and truly LOVED. He was a man of very little words, but his actions would speak for him.
After his retirement he enjoyed going to Vegas, caring for his grandchildren, taking them to and from school, and spending time with his family. The Celebration of his life will be celebrated at a later date. He is greatly loved and will be missed.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
