Jacqueline Ngirarsaol Emery, “Jacque”
Age 49, the treasured daughter of the late Charles Emery Jr. And Heidi Emery, passed away in Honolulu on August 7 after a fearless battle with cancer. Jacque was born in Koror, Palau and was a resident of Honolulu for more than forty-five years. She was a second-generation graduate of Mid-Pacific Institute and went on to graduate from the University of San Francisco. After college, Jacque spent four years in Japan studying, teaching English and working in the shipping industry. She returned to Hawaii to work in the hospitality industry at various hotels in Honolulu. Jacque smiled and laughed easily. She was the first to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. She was thoughtful and kind and very dedicated to her friends and family. The family wishes to thank the many doctors and health professionals who supported Jacque and her loved ones during her illness. Special thanks to Queens Hospital and their doctors and staff for taking such loving care of Jacque in recent months. Your kindness and professionalism will never be forgotten. Jacque is survived by her devoted mother Heidi Emery; by her brother Kenneth Emery of Koror, Palau; two nieces and a nephew; many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family who reside around the world. The family wishes to thank her many friends from Hawaii and all across the world who have been an enormous source of support and love during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Queens Cancer Center and Cancer Center of Hawaii.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
