Rebecca Fujieda, 20, of Paia, Maui passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020 in Aiea, Hawaii. Rebecca was born in June 2000 to Byron Fujieda and Allison Kodama in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her parents moved to Maui, where she would spend many long, sun- soaked days at the beach. Rebecca graduated as Co-Valedictorian from Maui Christian Academy in June 2018. She was currently attending Leeward Community College. Rebecca will be remembered as the patient daughter, sibling and cousin, the attentive student learning how to open a coconut while camping. We will always hear her joyful laughter that would echo throughout a room, and her voice as she encouraged her siblings' inner artist. She was happiest at home, surrounded by family and Momo, her dog that she finally convinced her stepmom to get after almost ten years, showing her determination and persistence. She is survived by her father Byron (Johnalyn) Fujieda and his family, Kaiolanikikahaokawena, Akemi and Charles Fujieda. She is also survived by her mother, Allison Kodama and her family, Brennan and Leah Miura. She will be remembered by her former stepfather, Blaine Miura. Services for Rebecca will be held on Maui at a later time.
