June grew up with five sisters (Hisami, Chitose, Kiwako, Ruby, Betsy) and one brother (Henry) in Waimea, Kauai. She graduated from Waimea High School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. June was an elementary school teacher and counselor for the Hawaii State Department of Education for over 30 years.
June enjoyed growing amazing vegetables in her garden along with taking care of her beautiful orchids. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed baking delicious desserts for her family. June spent many hours crocheting blankets and cute items that would make people laugh. Her true love was spending time with her grandchildren at the movies, Fun Factory, Las Vegas, weekend sleepovers and looking for ladybugs in the yard.
June and her husband Ray have a family of three children: Cheryl, Wayne (Jena), and Aaron (Sherrie). She had nine loving grandchildren: Lucky, Brandon, Chelsey, Kela, Justin, Bronson, Keilen, Peyton, and Cayden. We will truly miss her caring and loving personality she displayed toward everyone she met. Her heart warming demeanor and generosity will never be forgotten as it has made everyone she knew a better person.
A public service will not be held to the pandemic.
