91 years of age, died on August 12, 2020 in Honolulu, HI. He attended Iolani High School Class of 1947 and then went on to the University of Kansas for Undergraduate studies. He finished with a Masters Degree at N.Y.U. He worked at East Orange, New Jersey and the Minneapolis V.A.'s, before coming home to Honolulu. He worked at Queen Lili'oukalani Children's Center for 30 years, retiring as the Executive Director in 1999. He was married to Suzanne Nakoa for 53 years. Preceded in death by daughter Luka Nakoa, parents Charles and Ruth Nakoa, brother Douglas Nakoa and sister Charlotte Nakoa. Survived by wife Suzanne, nephew Douglas (Chuckie) Nakoa, niece Charlene Mahealani Mosley, niece Ruth Nessen and grand- nieces and nephews.
