Of Kailua, Hawaii, passed peacefully on to her Eternal Home July 30, 2020. Born in 1923 to John and Theresa Wood, of Greensboro, North Carolina, Kathryn later met, and in 1945 married, the late Rev. Hal Meadows at Olivet Nazarene College in Illinois. Together, they partnered in a life of ministry and community service. Kathryn's love of teaching also led her to Kailua Intermediate School, where she taught English for many years until retirement. Kathryn was admired for many things: her gracious, gentle spirit, gift of hospitality, and keen and quiet wisdom. She will be dearly missed. Surviving her are her four children: Virgil Dennis (Janis), Ann Meadows Kieffer, Theresa Turloff (Harry), Nancy Wilson (Edwin), 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 4 great- great-grandchildren. Private burial and services for the family were held. A Celebration of her Faith and Life will be scheduled at a later date.
