Dennis Fumio Saito (72) passed away peacefully on October 21, 2020, surrounded by his family. Dennis was born in Wailuku, Maui, on April 14, 1948, to parents Harold Isamu and Sumiko Kitagawa Saito. He graduated from Baldwin High School in 1966 and moved to Honolulu to attend college. After a stint working for Allied Builders, Dennis returned to the University of Hawaii at Manoa and earned a Bachelor's degree in Architecture. While pursuing his degree, he worked at architectural firm Robert M. Matsushita & Associates–later renamed Matsushita Saito & Associates– and became its President in 1993. Illness forced an early retirement in 2005. He was cared for and supported by a loving and devoted family, as well as extended family members and friends. Dennis is survived by his wife, Trudi; sons, Christopher (Amber) and Scott (Ashley); and brother, Ronald. He has three grand- daughters: Jasmine, Sophia, and Callie. Predeceased are his parents and infant son, Jonathan. A celebration of life service to be held at a future date Arrangements Provided By:
