96, of Honolulu, passed on Friday, August 14, 2020. Born on Kauai, Gilbert served in the United States Army in World War 2, and will be awarded the Bronze Star and the Congressional Gold Medal of Honor. He was a Department Manager of Office Services at Amfac, Inc. He is survived by wife Ethel, son Gordon, daughter-in-law Yuki, twin granddaughters Sophia and Olivia, sister Mew Lun Wong, and nephews and nieces. Private services will be held at a later date.
