Margaret, 94, passed away peacefully at Kuakini Geriatric Care on August 29, 2020. She was born on February 12, 1926 to Shinkichi and Kana Okaneku on Mana, Kauai. She worked at American Can Company and retired from the Honolulu Police Department as a dispatcher.Margaret is survived by daughters, Sandra (Alan) Nishimoto and Karen, brother Seikichi (Jean) Okaneku, four grandchildren, Riki (Sheena) & Jaime Asato, Troy & Tyler Nishimoto, 3 great- grandchildren, Reina, Sienna & Rianna Asato, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert "Brick", son, Michael, brothers, Kenichi (Reiko) & Kiyoshi (Kay) Okaneku, sisters, Jean (George) Koide, Kikue and Ruby (Tadao) Miyashiro.
A private memorial service was held during the burial at Diamond Head Cemetery.
