FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Lucille Alice Lo Chun
Lucille Alice Lo Chun Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and teacher died October 27, 2020 at the age of 74. Lucille was the hub of her family network. Married to Dr. Kenneal Y.C. Chun for 54 years, she raised her family in Colorado, Oregon, and Guam, before returning home to Hawaii in 1977. A trained educator, Lucille taught at Ala Wai, Aina Haina, and Hahaione Elementary Schools, retiring in 2002. She then expanded into teaching Luk Tung Kuen and Tai Chi, the latter being one of her true passions. She combined a friendly and encouraging teaching style with a determination to do her best for her students. An early adopter of technology, she connected family, friends, and Tai Chi enthusiasts around the world via email, her website at everydaytaichi.org, YouTube, and Olelo TV programs. Her facility with technology allowed her to make Tai Chi accessible to thousands, in addition to the hundreds she taught directly. Her incredible media presence is a lasting chronicle of her life. Her website exemplified her zeal and approach to healthy living. Lucille is survived by her husband Kenneal; children: Caroline Chun (Joel Young), Stuart Chun (Rita Kong), Clarissa (Franklin) Kang, Leslie Chun (Susan Lin); grandchildren: Justine and Brennan Duan, Aaron and Ethan Kang, and Mia, Ami, Andrew, Sophia, and Colin Chun; brothers Robert (Louise) and David (Diane) Lo.
