He retired from both the Army and Airforce and held various engineering positions at Tachikawa, Hickam, Bellows Air Force bases and last position held at the Pohakuloa Training Camp. He was a Korean War & Vietnam Veteran and received two Purple Heart Medals and previously held the Commander position at the Military Order of the Purple Heart Big Island Chapter 731 and instrumental in constructing the Purple Heart Monument at the cemetary. He also held various officer/member positions at the Korean War Veteran, Veteran Foreign War and Combat Infantrymen Associations.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions of 10. Private Viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday (Nov. 23, 2020) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo; a private Graveside Committal Service and burial to immediate follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2. Survived by wife Miyoko Nishi Kaleikini, daughters Barbie (Walter) Tsuha, Amy (Curtis) Kaleikini, sister Pauline Toribia; 6 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. No monies or flowers please.
