Yolanda Flahive, age 88, formerly of Lorain, Ohio, dearly beloved mother to Cara Blumberg of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Debra Prebor, of Kailua, HI, grand- mother to John Blumberg, Chelsea McDonald, and Joshua Prebor, died peacefully on 9 November 2020. Yolanda is survived by her sister Rose Strezvoski, age 90, of Lorain, Ohio. She was predeceased by her brothers Anthony & Casper Dispenza and sisters Grace Tillac, Aileen Riley, and Jean Bevin. Yolanda was born to Joseph and Louise Dispenza on July 22, 1932, the youngest of seven children. Yolanda had several titles throughout her life and left lasting memories for each; Wife, Mother, Niece, Sister, Auntie, Grandmother.Yolanda loved babies and animals, had a great sense of humor, big heart and a lust for life. It was never boring to be around her. More than anything she loved spending time with family and friends. She was incredibly keen and an avid reader; she treasured world history and would dole out interesting historical facts. She was highly opinionated and sure to share. She had a passion for cooking, was a great dancer, music lover and when she walked into a room everyone noticed. In her youth she was a renowned, radiant beauty. From birthday occasions to holidays, and sometimes just because she wanted you to know she cared, Yolanda made everyone around her feel special. Yolanda was a very loving mother and grandmother and even though she is not with us her memory will live on. Her family will never stop loving or missing her.
