84Her family struggled financially in Hong Kong and with very little in her pocket she arrived in Honolulu on June 2, 1957 with hopes of a better life for her and her family. Through hard work and a strong determination, she had built a loving home through deeds of sacrifice so her children would be successful and receive an education.
She is survived by her children: Cherry Tengan (Russ Tengan), Dr. Dexter Poon (Nancy Poon), Dr. Leslie Poon (John Ohari), Debbie Hudson (Dan Hudson), and Dr. Larry Poon. She has 9 grandchildren: Talon Tengan, Cassandra Tengan, Dylan Poon, Anlyn Poon, Ian Ohari, Amy Ohari, Samuel Hudson, Elissa Hudson, and Sophia Hudson.
Private services were held.
