Kim was born on March 22, 1958, in Okinawa, Japan and moved to Hawaii shortly after graduating from Kubasaki High School. After moving to Oahu, Kim worked at several jobs until she started her career at Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA), where she was a dedicated employee for nearly 30 years. At HMSA, she made forever friendships with her coworkers and became "Mom" to her second family. Kim enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was also an avid year-round shopper who could not pass up a sale and had fun online shopping even during her later months. Kim also enjoyed Korean dramas, arts & crafts, party planning, and decorating for every occasion, especially Christmas.
Kim will be deeply missed by her husband Landon, daughters Kisha and Kylie Chun, brother Don Swartz, and her extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Kiyoko Swartz.
