Was born in Honolulu on July 22, 1979. He passed away on October 18, 2020 at the age of 41. Gavin attended Punahou School and graduated in 1998. He attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in Accounting.Shortly thereafter Gavin became a Certified Public Accountant. He worked as a Staff Acountant for Wikoff Combs & Co. and Grant Thornton CPA. Then he worked for the State of Hawaii, Dept. of Transportation, Airport's Division as an Auditor for the past eleven years.
Gavin's passions were surfing and traveling. He traveled domestically to San Francisco, Seattle, Montana, Boston, Vermont, Washington D.C. and New York City. He went snowboarding with good friends to Mammoth and Utah, and also to Las Vegas. He had fond memories of visiting Disneyland and Disney World with his nephew, Brayden, and niece, Marissa.
Gavin also visited Hong Kong and exotic Thailand. He went on European travels to France, Greece, Germany and England. More recently he traveled to Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Gavin was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. Although he was a quiet and reserved person, Gavin had great respect for his family and friends, and for people in general. He possessed an unwavering love for his family and friends, more than words could have ever expressed.
Our time together was much too short, but those times were priceless and memories of Gavin will be etched in our minds forever. We love you Gavin. May you rest in peace.
Survived by father, Gary, mother, Ginny, sister, Jaime (Landon), nephew, Brayden, and niece, Marissa.
Private viewing and committal service were held.
