Hannah Nakamura
Hannah Hanako Nakamura passed away peacefully at her Pearl City home on July 6, 2020, at the age of 88. She was born on April 10, 1932, in Honoka'a. Predeceased by beloved husband James Nakamura. She graduated from Kaimuki High School and the New York Fashion Institute. Hannah was very talented, creative, and had many skills that she enjoyed–sewing/drafting, cooking, baking, crocheting, oil painting, ikebana flower arranging, and ballroom dancing. An accomplished seamstress, her passion was sewing for family and friends. A proud grandma, she loved spending time and watching Tyler play baseball. She had a caring heart and was extremely thoughtful and loved by everyone who knew her and will be dearly missed.
Survived by son, Aaron; daughters, Natalie (Jon) Wagatsuma and Charlene (Troy) Mimuro; grandson, Tyler Mimuro; sisters, Mabel Kobayashi, Margaret Sakata, Lillian (Jack) Ladra, Alice Embree, and Jeanne (Mearl) Thompson. Private service at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
