Geri was raised in Kaneohe, graduated high school at Mid Pacific Institute, then graduated from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. For over 30 years, Geri worked for the State of Hawaii and recently retired from her role as a Research Statistician. A faithful Catholic, Geri also served as a teacher of catechism at St. George Church in Waimanalo.
Geri was well known at craft fairs for her popular "Pupu Pillows," (spam musubi, maki sushi, kamaboko). Also, an active dog walker, Geri met many of her neighbors turned lifelong friends while taking her previous pets and current chocolate lab "Dolly" on routine morning and evening walks.
Geri is survived by her husband, Colin, daughter, Jamie, and son, Nicholas.
She is also survived by her mother, Joyce Kajihara and brothers, Scott Kajihara, Grant Kajihara and his wife Melissa, and two nieces, Joy and Carmen. She was pre-deceased recently by her father, Roy Kajihara.
An inurnment service at the Hawaiian Memorial Park will be announced at a future date.
