Takashi "Bolo" Shirakata, 99, passed away on December 4, 2020. He was born on April 12, 1921 and retired from City Bank. He was a veteran with the U.S. Army 442nd, 232nd Company Engineer/Band. Earlier in the year, he was awarded the prestigious French Chevalier medal for his service in Europe. He was preceded in death by wife, Florence S. Shirakata and daughter, Cheri C. Asai. He is survived by sons Keith Shirakata and Kyle Shirakata, daughter Renee (Steve) Takahashi, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A Celebration of his Life will be announced at a later date. The family requests no koden and any donations will be made to the 442nd Legacy Center. Arrangements Provided By:
