Fred O. Foster
Dr. Fred O. Foster, age 78, of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on January 4, 2021 of natural causes. A memorial service will be scheduled later due to the Coronavirus. Fred was born in Colusa, California on October 30, 1942. He graduated from Portland, Oregon Seventh Day Adventist Academy, and continued his education by receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science and Psychology and Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. He was certified as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist and obtained a Nurse Practitioner Degree. He earned a Master of Arts in Education, Master of Arts in Holistic Health and Master of Science in Nursing and was a member of Kappa Delta Pi (Scholastic Honor Society). He completed his education with a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing. Upon retiring as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, he worked part time for a local Holistic Health Medical Doctor as a Nurse Practitioner. He went from there to teach holistic health principles to members of his local Seventh Day Adventist Church. He offered online weekly Bible Study lessons; as well as leading one of his church's Sabbath School weekly lesson classes. He was an active goal-seeking, learner throughout his entire life. He retired from Kaiser Permanente Hospital of Hawaii where he worked as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist for many years. His hobby and interests were the pursuit of education throughout his entire life span. He traveled extensively and his most favorite trip were South Africa and then Egypt where he visited the Pyramids. He was dedicated to helping others through his teaching at his Seventh Day Adventist Church. Fred is survived by his sister, Lois M. Bacchi and brother, Larry Padgett both living in California.Fred is preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Lois Bishop.
