As gentle as his spirit, Walter S. Hashimoto, 89, peacefully transitioned from this earth on January 6, 2021. Born in Honolulu, Walter attended McKinley High School and was a proud "Tiger". He always enjoyed attending class reunions held in Las Vegas and Honolulu. While serving in the U.S. Air Force, Walter enjoyed exploring the world. His adventurous spirit led him to many hobbies, including ballroom dancing, where he met his wife of 51 years. As a talented artist, Walter often captured the beauty of nature in his oil paintings. Walter was a devoted, loving husband and father. He often said his greatest joy and blessing was his family. Like his father, he was a true gentleman. His kind, gentle essence touched many and his presence left this world a better place. Through the memories shared with him, his love will live on, forever.Preceded in death by his wife, Betty and daughter, Julie, Walter is survived by his daughter, Annemarie; sister, Margaret (Herbert) Tom; sisters-in-law, Rosemary and Margaret Ann of Michigan, and many nieces and nephews. Private services were held.
