Peggy Asako (Kuwashima) Uehara passed away peacefully on Jan 3, 2021 at the age of 89 at home with loved ones at her side. She was born on Dec 19, 1931 on the island of Maui in Pulehu. Peggy worked at the Kaneohe Times Super Market as a cashier for many years before retiring from the Koolau store. She is survived by her children Janice (Gary) Imamura, Bert (Iris) Steven, Leslie (Jade); 9 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters Nancy Fukagawa and Reiko (George) Matsunaga. She is preceded in death by her husband Masaru Uehara and siblings Elko Sakuma, Paul, Takeshi, Hiroshi, Harriet Miyamoto, and Clarence. A private service will be held.
