Robert Nobuichi Arakawa, 99, passed away Dec 1, 2020 at Hale Pulama Mau. He was born in Makawao, Maui to Shinjiro and Kamei Arakawa and retired as a meat cutter from Times Super Market.Robert was predeceased by his wife, Matsue sons Kenneth and Bert Arakawa, brother Seishin Rudy Arakawa, sisters Shizuko Ige, Miyoko Grace Ohama, Kimiyo Ruth Eckert and companion Eiko Nii.
He is survived by son Richard (Naomi) Arakawa, daughter Sandra (Harold) Oshiro, daughter-in-law Carol Arakawa, grandsons Scot and Shane Arakawa, Lance Oshiro and 3 great-grandchildren; brother Hideo Arakawa and sisters Yoshimi Kayona, Mildred Kiyoko Miyamoto, Jean Miyuki Gushiken, Sally Yoshiko Fukunaga and many nieces and nephews.
Robert lived a long fulfilling life. He loved to spend time with family and friends and enjoyed wood crafting, gardening and watching sports, especially baseball and sumo and going to Vegas.
He will be deeply missed by his family. Private services were held.
