90, of Hilo, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2020 at home in Honolulu, surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Hilo on the Big Island, he was a retired educator. Survived by son Dr. Curt Shimizu of Honolulu; daughters Claire Shimizu and Lori (Stephen) Sasaki of Honolulu; sisters Nobuko (Wally) Inouye and Fujiko (George) Okita; five grandchildren - Tyler, Darcy, Cameron, Kelcie and Kriston; numerous nieces and nephews.
