Her personality was reflected in her beautiful smile. She worked as a bartender for the old Kauai Surf Hotel for decades. Her last job was working for the City and County of Kauai driving the Handi-Van.
She was preceded by her husband John K. Tremaine Jr. and by her brothers and sisters: Carole Mole, William Cabus, Lucio Cabus Jr. and Irma Tam. She is survived by her brother Phillip Tam. She is also survived by her children Victoria Ann (Amos) Tamura, Clayton Paul (Mary Ann) delos Santos, Brenda (Eddie) Viernes, Karen delos Santos, Nadine Tam-Ito (Solomon), Rochelle (Barry) Stark-White, Edward (Sandra) Kanda Jr. and Roxanne (Keoki) Palau. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson plus many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She passed away peacefully at Pali Momi Medical Center on January 20, 2021 with her daughter Victoria by her side. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten as a pillar of our Ohana.
Services will be provided by Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home at 4716 Maalo Rd., Lihue, HI 96766. Viewing will be Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. To follow will be her burial at 1:00 p.m. at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery at 4331 Lele Road, Hanapepe, HI 96716.
