Age 71, passed away on February 2, 2012 in Honolulu. Born in China, she moved from Hong Kong at age 14. She graduated from Kaimuki H.S. and the U. of Hawaii in Accounting.
She was a partner with Lester Hee to form Hee and Ching CPA's Inc. Before her partnership she tax manager for Arthur Young & Co. She was a member of Hawaii Chapter of Tax Executive Institute and The Hawaii Institute of CPA's. She was appointed to the state boards of taxation and Accounting.
Carolyn enjoyed reading, fine dining and traveling especially with her dear Friends Barbara Annis,Charlene Chee and Sue Ann Liu. Carolyn was a member of Soroptomist Of Hawaii, New Hope Church and Luthern Church of Honolulu and contributed to UH school of business.
Carolyn is now united with her parents Q.C. and Sook In Lau and sister Kaimi Lee
She is survived by husband Dr. Kin Ming Ching, sons Dr. Michael (Dr. Susan) Ching, Mr. Jonathan Ching, Dr. Derek (Dr. Diane) Ching, grandsons Justin, Cody, Ryder, Ashton. Along with her favorite niece Justina and nephew Felix Lee of California.
Private services held. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
