Stephen Tadao Nagamine, 71, passed away on Sunday, January 17 in Honolulu, HI after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his mother, Doris, brothers Craig (Leila) and Paul, nieces Michele (Missy), Kari (Seumas & Zoe) and nephew Craig (Nicole, Natalie & Jacob)."Steve", also known as "Nag", graduated from St. Louis High School and was a proud member of the Crusaders' Class of '67 and played on the undefeated 1966-67 State Championship basketball team. He was a life-long San Francisco 49-er fan and worked for Sheraton Hotels/Kyo-ya Management Company for almost 40 years. He loved to travel to the Bay Area and Las Vegas with friends and family and was very fond of video poker and fine dining - especially seafood paired with a nice bottle of wine and a good cigar!
His friends always spoke of his honesty and the uncanny way he could "tell it like it is" and never sugar coat anything but still maintain his easy going style with an ever-present smile on his face. He will be missed dearly!
Due to the pandemic, services will be held at a later date.
