Lita Alo, age 89, went home to Jesus on January 26, 2021 from her house in Nanakuli. She was born in Tuanai, Western Samoa and lived a Blessed life in Nanakuli, O'ahu.Lita came to Hawaii in the 1960s to help raise her nieces and nephew in Kalihi. She worked nights at Dole Pineapple Plantation to be home with her children during the day to prepare them for school. She then worked at Nana'ikapono Elementary School cafeteria for lunch and classroom cleaning after school. She greeted thousands of family and visitors with Polynesian lei crafts at the Paradise Cove Luau in Ko 'Olina which she dedicated 30+ years before being offered retirement last year.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Alo, parents Paulo Tuaena & Leonia Tunahala Manaea Mana'o, 11 siblings, and great-grandchild Michael Jr. She is survived by daughter Leilani and sons John & Paul (Carol); brother Mika (Pene); grandchildren Tiare, Malia, Kiana, Ryten, Hano, Keone & Jake; and great-grandchild Caleb Amana.
