Esther enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, sewing, completing crossword puzzles and watching Korean dramas. She was an awesome cook, preparing requested favorites like joong & jook, for family and friends alike. Her baking specialties included yummy desserts such as apple kuchen and lemon bars. Esther traveled extensively, visiting not only domestic destinations, but also Europe, Asia, Mexico and Canada. She loved sewing and created intricate patch-work quilts and over 500 face masks in recent months, which she shared with family and friends locally and on the mainland.
Esther leaves behind a myriad of special memories with family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, caring mother, doting grandmother and loving great-grandmother, who provided all who knew her with unconditional love and support.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford, and is survived by sons Kelvin (Phyllis) & Kenton (Ann) Chee, daughter Christy (Norman) Nakano, 6 grandchildren, a great-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held. A memorial mass in her honor with LIMITED seating, will be held on Monday, March 1 at 9:30 am, at Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Face masks and social distancing are required.
