79He graduated from Washington University School of Dental Medicine and practiced dentistry for 40 years. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and ceramist. He continued ceramics long into his retirement.
He was preceded in death by parents Matsuzo and Tsurue Haruki, siblings Sadako Shimabukuro, Hiroshi Haruki, Hisayo Nakamura, Momoyo Moribe, Tokiyo Arita, Julia Suzuki, Sumie Haruki and Yoshie Kodama.
He is survived by wife Jane Haruki of Wailua, daughter Michele (Alan Iwasaki) Haruki of Lihu'e, sons Dr. Craig Haruki of Lihu'e, Dr. Todd (Susan) Haruki of Honolulu, grandchildren Bradley Fujiuchi, Alyssa Fujiuchi, Jordan Haruki, Lexi Haruki, Brandon Haruki and Caroline Haruki, sister-in-law Barbara Haruki of Wailua, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date.
