Guido Ulmann
70, of Honolulu died on February 3, 2021. He was born in St. Urban, Switzerland, on December 21, 1950. Loved by many as an executive chef of the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Waialae Country Club, Prince Kuhio Hotel, and Outrigger Reef Hotel; his personality and spirit were bold and beautiful. As a member of Les Amis d'Escoffiers, Guido was an excellent chef and mentor. He loved his hobby of sculpting bonsais and cultivating orchids, enjoying membership in the Orchid Society. He is survived by his partner Raynette Kaspar and daughter Danielle Ulmann residing in Honolulu and a large family back home in Switzerland. His siblings include: Franz and Johanna Ulmann, Hubert and Erika Ulmann, Bernadette Ulmann, Marietta Ruetti-Ulmann and Emil Ruetti, Robert and Bernadette Ulmann, Anton and Anne Marie Ulmann, Beat and Monika Ulmann, Hans and Marianne Ulmann, and sister-in-law Ruth Salzmann Ulmann; along with many nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life Services will be held in Honolulu and Switzerland at a later date.
