Charles En Sue Maunahina Bush
84, of Waimanalo passed away on February 14, 2021 at Castle Hospital. Born on December 25, 1936 in Honolulu and graduated from Kamehameha School for Boy's, class of 1955; after which he attended business college in Honolulu. He was a Vietnam era veteran who served four years on active duty in the United States Navy as an Aviation Machinist Mate, ADJ2, two years on active reserve, with VP 876, as a crew member with anti-submarine unit based at Nas Alameda, CA. He also served with the USMCR 15 Infantry Battalion, Camp Catlin, HI and 146th Evacuation Hospital, Army National Guard at Fort Funston, CA. After his military service, Charles worked for United Airlines in San Francisco as a ramp serviceman and retired from their supply department with 39+ years as a lead Storekeeper in Honolulu. He was a founding sponsor of the National Museum United States Army and an active member of the American Legion, SFPDR, and attended Ka Hale Hoano O Ke Akua Church. Charles is survived by his Fiancée, Leilani Mermod Maunakea, Daughter-in- laws; Debra, Haunani, Grand- children; Jordan (Shandree), Sharice (Nicholas), and five Great-Grand- children. Private service to be held.
