FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

William “Sonny” Naki, Jr.
William 98, of Kaneohe, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Honolulu on November 8, 1922 to the late William Naki, Sr. and Mary Parker Naki.
Sonny or "Bill" as he was known by his working crew, was a Welder, Machinist and Working Supervisor. He worked at Johnston Island, Kwajalein, Hawaiian Electric, Terminal Steel, Honolulu Iron Works and Ski's Enterprise. He has his signature on some of Hawaii's land marks: 1st Revolving Restaurant in the United States the "LaRonde Revolving Restaurant", "Top of Waikiki Revolving Restaurant", Sand Island Draw Bridge, Honolulu Airport Retractable Jet Bridge, Hanalei Bridge, Pearl Harbor Ships and various Sugar Mills, just to name a few.
Dad is survived by Daughters: Wilma Naki, Coralene Naki-Souza, Bernadette (Duane) Carrick; Son, Randy (Melissa) Drew; Hanai-Son, Elmer (Stephanie) Drew; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren; brothers: Gilbert Naki, Dudley Naki; sisters: Jane Coelho, Shirley Kim, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at
Valley of The Temples, top Chapel from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.;
Burial: 11:00 a.m., Holy Cross Section.
